The Durham Region Astonomonical Association invites everyone with an interest in the stars to come see us at Lakeview Park on Friday evening, May 2. We will have telescopes set up along the footpath overlooking the lake on the eastern side of the park, offering views of a crescent Moon, the giant planet Jupiter and it large moons, and deep sky star clusters. This event is open to everyone and is free of charge. If you have a telescope but need some instruction on using it, bring it along and someone will be happy to help.
Update May 2, 2 PM - This event will go ahead tonight as scheduled. We are anticipating partial clearing this evening (and tomorrow night will be clouds and rain so tonight is our best opportunity). See you there!
