The Durham Region Astronomical Association invites everyone with an interest in the stars to come see us at Lakeview Park on Saturday evening, September 6 (not far from the Rotary Club of Oshawa Ribfest). We will have telescopes set up along the footpath overlooking the lake on the eastern side of the park, offering views of the Moon, Saturn, and deep sky star clusters. This event is open to everyone and is free of charge. If you have a telescope but need some instruction on using it, bring it along and someone will be happy to help.
Please note that this event was originally planned for Friday, Sept. 5 but has been postponed to Saturday Sept 6 due to clouds and rain predicted for Friday. If the weather is poor on Saturday, we will move to Sunday. You can check back here before heading out to see if the stargazing has been rescheduled to Sunday. Thank you.
