The Durham Region Astronomical Association invites everyone to come celebrate Astronomy Day with us at the Legends Centre on Harmony Road in Oshawa. Indoors, we will have an information booth with displays, 3D-images from space, literature and handouts on all things astronomical. Outdoors, if the sky is clear, you can enjoy fantastic views of Sunspots and Solar Prominences through our solar-filtered telescopes outside the south entrance to the Centre.
Do you have a telescope but need some instruction on how to set it up or use it? Please bring it with you to the Legend Centre and we would be happy to help!
This event is open to everyone, and is free of charge.
(DRAA members who would like to participate: please send a note to stargazing@drastronomy.com. Thank you.)
The Legends Centre is located at 1661 Harmony Road North in Oshawa
