The Durham Region Astronomical Association invites everyone with an interest in the stars to stargaze with us at Lakeview Park on Friday evening, May 22. We will have telescopes set up along the footpath overlooking the lake on the eastern side of the park, offering views of the crescent Moon, brilliant Venus, giant Jupiter and it large moons, and deep sky wonders. This event is open to everyone and free of charge.
If you have a telescope but need some instruction on using it, bring it along and we will be happy to help.
Weather Update: We will have clear skies Friday evening, so this event will proceed as scheduled. Please note that it could be windy and chilly this evening, so you will want to dress warmly (e.g. winter coat, toque, gloves).
