The Durham Region Astronomical Association is always looking for corporate sponsorship to assist in meeting the Associations community outreach goals with financial support. In additional to sponsorship the DRAA is a registered charity and can issue tax receipts for monetary gifts. The DRAA would like to acknowledge the generosity of current and past sponsors.

As part of the Community Outreach program the Durham Region Astronomical Association, a new and exciting display is being produced! These life size displays will measure 34 inches wide by 84 inches tall each featuring a different aspect of Astronomy. The content is written at an introductory level to be understood by the general public, many of those who will be just a passer-by of the displays when they are on exhibit at various Community Centres (and other indoor venues) around the Durham regional area. Our goal in creating the displays is to attract people from further distances and retain them longer at the venues we currently regularly attend. By doing so we can further educate them in the hobby of amateur Astronomy and our Association. To help the DRAA in producing these displays, the Association is seeking commercial sponsorship. Each display has a space allocated at the bottom measuring at least 6 inches high by 32 inches wide in which the sponsor can supply an advertisement to be inserted into the display. The expected life span of each display is 5 years, and will be used approximately a dozen times per year, therefore advertisements should not be time sensitive. Along with the advertisement on the display, the DRAA will provide the sponsor a rolling banner on the DRAA web site that will link back to a URL of the sponsors choice.Display topics include:

If there is a display topic not listed above that you would be interested in sponsoring, please let us know as we will be continuing to add to our display collection. The cost to sponsor a DRAA display is only $200, which is simply to cover the cost of producing the display. The DRAA does not generate any revenue from the commercial sponsorship. At that cost it works out to only a few dollars per ad exposure, a price that can not be beat!
